Kevin lomax

Kevin Lomax

Kevin Lomax is an experienced entrepreneur, business leader and investor.

After gaining a BSc Honours degree from the University of Manchester, he was Managing Director first with a subsidiary of Hanson plc then with Wellman Incandescent Limited. He was a Director of The Central Manufacturing and Trading Group plc. He subsequently joined STC Plc as General Manager of a number of the divisions in its electronic components division.

Kevin was the founder of Misys in 1979, becoming non-executive CHairman in 1980 and Executive Chairman and CEO in 1985. Misys PLC floated on USM in 1987 and the main London Stock Exchange in 1989. In 1998 it became the first UK software company to enter the FTSE100 index. Kevin led the glboal banking and healthcare systems company through this major growth and development to some 6,500 employees in 126 countries, with a turnover of about £1bn and peak profits of more than £140m, before retiring from the board in 2006.

Kevin was a Senior Non-Executive Director of Marks & Spencer Group PLC and a Non-Executive Director of the Royal Opera House Trust.

He is currently Chairman and CEO of VoiceVault Inc and Chairman of Envestors, Sentenial Ltd, B2M Solutions and Ipsotek Ltd.

Oliver woolley

Oliver Woolley

After university and travelling, Oliver decided not to become an accountant, but instead raised private equity and bank debt to start his own venture in the food industry - including a retail catering business in central London and a chain of organic sausage shops in the south-east. In 1997 he sold the business and moved into the world of early-stage investing and fundraising.

From 2008 to 2014, Oliver sat on the board of the UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA). He has an MBA from Imperial College Management School. Oliver is a shareholder and Co-Founder of Envestors in 2004.

Scott haughton

After 16 years working in senior sales and marketing roles for multi-national blue chip FMCG corporations, including Mars Confectionery and GlaxoSmithKline, Scott left the corporate consumer product world to set up a unique premium quality family leisure concept. In doing so, he personally secured funding totalling £680,000, including venture capital backing, business angel investment, bank debt and DTI Small Firms Loan. Scott has a degree in Economics and Business and an MBA. Scott is a shareholder and Co-Founder of Envestors in 2004.

Nick taylor

Nick Taylor
CFO & Co-Founder

After qualifying with Price Waterhouse, Nick worked with private and public companies in the retail and manufacturing sectors. Most recently he was co-founder of the Sportscard Credit Card Company, which was listed on AIM and later sold to on-line bookmaker UK Betting Plc. He is also co-founder and director of an established private restaurant group and has investments in five other ventures. Nick is a shareholder and Co-Founder of Envestors in 2004.

Penny avis

Penny Avis

Penny Avis is a former corporate finance partner and board member of Deloitte UK LLP, where she specialised in due diligence for corporate and private equity acquirers, public to private transactions, hostile takeovers, bid defence, equity and debt listings. She has been the lead partner on over fifty transactions and has sector experience across consumer business, retail, healthcare and manufacturing. She is a qualified accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and a member of the Deloitte Academy. Penny remains involved with Deloitte as Chair of the Former Partners Association for London and the South Region and is a volunteer mentor for Girls Out Loud, an organisation that seeks to empower and inspire teenage girls. She is also a Non Executive Director at Equitable Life.

Julian box

Julian has over 25 years of experience helping organisations streamline operations through the innovative application of technology, including nearly a decade of delivering dynamic and agile virtualisation and cloud solutions.

Prior to Calligo, Julian founded and was Managing Director of VirtualizeIT Limited, a provider of virtualization technology, including server, storage and network virtualization. From its inception in 1995, VirtualizeIT won many UK & EMEA industry awards in recognition of its ability to deliver specialized consultancy services and complex virtualization projects.

In 2008 Julian co-founded Virtustream, an enterprise cloud service provider where as CTO he led the design and implementation of their industry leading private multi-tenanted Infrastructure as a Service offering.

Julian is also a Non-Executive Director and Trustee and Chair of the Education and Skills Technical Advisory Group for Digital Jersey Limited, an independent body that represents and promotes Jersey's digital industries.
